Our French as a Foreign Language course (FFL) – NISU 2020

The 2020 Nice International Summer University (NISU) offers two to six weeks courses: language classes in the morning and in the afternoon, cultural activities that students will have the opportunity to choose.

We provide courses based on the Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR) and use various teaching materials, the latest textbooks and genuine documents. All our teachers have a secondary education or university degree diploma (Master FLES)

Placement Test

Upon registration, you’ll receive a web link in order to take a test according to CEFR levels (A1, A2, B1, B2 or C1).

Classes take place from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm :

9:00 am – 11:30 am (language)

11:30 am – 1 pm (thematic workshop), or 40h-course for a 2-week session.

ECTS Credits for FFL

Each 40-hour session equals 2 ECTS credits: for language and thematic workshop.

These credits will only be granted to you if you attend all classes. We will not allow any absence.

The ECTS credits will appear on the level certificate you’ll receive at the end of the session, as well as the level you reached. This certificate will take into account your work throughout the whole session and your result to the final test will be mentioned.

FFL level certificate example (in progress)

The ECTS credits are only granted on the level certificate for French as a Foreign Language.

Nota bene :

Getting ECTS credits mentioned on the certificate does not prejudge the decision that rests on the Pedagogical Committee for the Validation of acquired experience of your university, which is the only one being entitled to validate the ECTS credits as part of your school curriculum.
