My research area covers a wide range of subjects, from the theoretical study of interactions between DNA and proteins with network analysis to the study of reactions catalysed by metallic surfaces with ab-initio methods. I’m particularly invested in the elucidation of the base-pair opening mechanism, a key step in the formation of DNA bubbles, a subject I started during my thesis. During my post-doc at CEA I studied the interaction between metallic thin films and high-k oxide for the conception of sub-32 nm transistors. I’m also particularly interested in theoretical spectroscopy (IR, Raman, UV, neutron, photoemission, RMN).

My teaching activities are the elaboration of on-line courses in molecular modeling and quantum chemistry via ministerial projects. I also give teaching courses in general chemistry at a licence level.
